| Mark started painting in Detroit, Michigan, where he was born and raised. Once he graduated from high school, he attended the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts, where he majored in commercial art. | ||
After school, Mark was going to start working as an airbrush illustrator, but he soon found that this would not provide the creative freedom he was looking for. Then he got a chance to help a friend of his paint a motorcycle. Along with cars and vans, this turned out to be just what he was looking for; a chance to develop his airbrush skills while doing something in which he could be as creative as he liked. Over the next 25 years, Mark produced many award winning vans, motorcycles, and racecars. | ||
Mark relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado in the late 70's, seeking inspiration and new challenges. While still painting cars and vans, he began expanding his repertoire to include murals, custom sign work, and faux painting for local businesses. | ||
He has since been commissioned by various local, national, and international companies to design and produce posters, publication covers, t-shirts, and even airbrushed yokes on custom made western style shirts. |
